
Taco Seasoning
One batch replaces dozens of those little packets — and you'll never go back once you taste the difference.
Time: 5 minutes · Yield: About 60 g (¼ cup) — enough for 2-3 batches of taco meat
Ingredients
- ●2 Tbsp chili powder
- ●1 Tbsp ground cumin
- ●1 tsp smoked paprika
- ●1 tsp garlic powder
- ●1 tsp onion powder
- ●1 tsp fine sea salt
- ●½ tsp dried oregano
- ●½ tsp black pepper
- ●¼ tsp cayenne pepper (adjust for heat)
- ●¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Method
- Whisk everything together in a bowl. Transfer to a small jar.
- **To use:** Add 2-3 tablespoons per 450 g (1 lb) of ground meat along with 80 ml (⅓ cup) water. Cook until the water evaporates and the meat is coated.
- *Storage:** Airtight container in your spice drawer for up to 6 months.
