Golden Smoothie
A creamy, tropical smoothie that hides a full dose of golden goodness. You'd never know this was an anti-inflammatory drink — it just tastes like a mango smoothie.
Time: 5 minutes · Yield: 1 large smoothie (about 16 oz)
Ingredients
- ●1 cup frozen mango chunks
- ●1/2 banana (frozen for a thicker smoothie)
- ●1 cup coconut milk (from a carton) or oat milk
- ●1 teaspoon ground turmeric (or 1 tablespoon golden paste)
- ●1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ●1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- ●1 tablespoon coconut oil or MCT oil
- ●1 tablespoon raw honey
- ●Pinch of black pepper
- ●Optional: 1 tablespoon collagen powder
Method
- Add all ingredients to a blender.
- Blend on high for 60 seconds until smooth and creamy.
- Pour into a glass and drink immediately.
Note: The mango and banana completely mask the turmeric flavor. This is the best entry point for anyone who doesn't love the taste of turmeric. The coconut oil provides the fat needed for curcumin absorption. Add the collagen powder if you want the joint-supporting amino acids from a bone broth in a drinkable format.
